Hmmm, didn’t I just say their schedule wasn’t up yesterday?  Well, it’s still not up on their site but, I’m not an insider such as the folks at A&R.   According to A&R the schedule looks like this:

“2012 FIM e-Power Championship Calendar:

Well, it’s the FIM so it must the schedule and set in stone because they know what they are doing. Well, they do know what they are doing, but just to prove either how hard this is, or how little the FIM is actually backing the rag tag little e-Power group (probably the former) let’s look at last year.  Last year about this time (mid-January I believe) the 2011 schedule had 6 races and Laguna Seca was not on it!  It was an all European series.  Well, being an American, and what was by all accounts a dismal season of racing in the 2010 e-Power series, I didn’t bother following it.  I was also in Australia with limited internet from March to June.  Somewhere along the way they lost Hungry, the Czech Republic, and Brands Hatch and teamed up with the TTXGP and put Laguna Seca back on the schedule and made Le Mans a combined race as well.  My point is that the FIM calender likely to change, and radically just as last year.  The TTXGP’s 2011 calender was much bigger (11 rounds on 3 continents) and the European and Australian calenders, while late in solidifying, were solid after that.  The NA series was similar to the e-Power series losing Portland, OR, Loudon, NH, and then the AMA vs.VIR debacle which got moved to Miller.  Then the World Final was not announced until the week before it happened.  Not a great season for either series honestly.

Either way, we can only wait and see what happens for 2012 but don’t be surprised if it gets a major face lift and loses some weight it shouldn’t, in the mean time.
